DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down three suspects who broke into a home on Detroit's west side and stole two TVs last month.
Detroit police say just before 11 p.m. on April 29, three men forced their way into a side gate and then broke a window and entered a home in the 15400 block of Kentfield Street, near the area of Evergreen and Grand River.
Once the men were inside, a home surveillance system captured one of the three men walking inside the house.
The suspects allegedly stole 75-inch and 48-inch flat-screen TVs and nine pairs of men's shoes, before fleeing the location in a white SUV, headed in an unknown direction.
Police say one suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hat with "Detroit" written across the front, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jogging pants and black pants. Police did not have descriptions for the other two suspects.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information regarding the home invasion and burglary is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department's Eighth Precinct Detective Unit at 313-596-5840. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
