There was increased concern for his well being, as police said Whitsett lives with Alzheimer’s.

After asking for tip to help find him, the Detroit Police Department on Jan. 2 issued an update stating that Whitsett "has been recovered and is doing fine."

It's unclear where or when the missing man was located, as no further details were released.

Police thanked the community for their assistance with this case.
