DETROIT (WWJ) A Detroit woman died in a car crash on I-96.
In a statement on X, Michigan State Police Second District said the Detroit Regional Communication Center received calls of a rollover crash on eastbound I-96, near Hubbell, on Sunday (8/11) around 1:20 a.m. The callers also reported the vehicle was on fire.
According to State Police; on-scene investigation revealed the driver "lost control of her vehicle, went off the road on the right" and struck the cement barrier for the railroad overpass.
She was 34 years old.
Her family has been notified.
State Police said the investigation has wrapped up, and they're still awaiting the medical examiner's reports.
