DETROIT (WWJ) – A killer remains on the run after a young woman was found shot to death in her apartment on Detroit’s northwest side Saturday morning.
Detroit police officials say the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, but the shooting happened just before 10 a.m. Saturday in the 16500 block of Schaefer – near McNichols Road.
Police are unsure whether the woman knew the killer. The victim’s name has not been released, but local reports say she had just celebrated her 25th birthday.
Authorities say a possible description of the suspected killer is a man in his 20s with a medium build, a short haircut and facial hair. He was last seen wearing all black clothing.
Police officials are encouraging the suspect to turn himself in.
