DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are requesting the public's assistance in finding a missing woman suffering from schizophrenia.

At about 6 a.m. Friday morning, Edith Teague was discharged from Henry Ford Hospital in the 2700 block of W. Grand Blvd in Detroit.


The 26-year-old woman never returned to her home, located in the 3700 block of Atkinson Street.

According to a DPD missing person's report, Teague is Black; female; 5 feet, 2 inches tall; 191 lbs. She has brown eyes and black hair styled in an afro.

When last seen, Teague was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with green stripes and burgundy stretch pants.

According to her mother, Teague suffers from schizophrenia.
