
DETROIT (WWJ) -- With only a few days left to vote, the heat is on for Detroit's Michigan Science Center to beat out the competition and be named the best science museum in the country.
The annual USA Today 10 Best Competition ends on Monday, March 14, and Michigan Science is currently neck-and-neck for the top spot with The Center of Science and Industry of Columbus and The Great Lakes Center of Cleveland.
Museum officials are asking the public to vote as they're up against these two Ohio-based science centers that have huge followings. But they say MiSci's patrons are "pushing hard and voting every day."
Below is a list of the current leaders in USA TODAY 10 Best Museums contest:
• Center of Science and Industry in Columbus, Ohio
• Michigan Science Center in Detroit, Michigan
• Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio
• Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, Georgia
• The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
• Saint Louis Science Center in St. Louis, Missouri
• Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Illinois
• Rochester Museum & Science Center in Rochester, New York
• National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
• Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Hawaii
