BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) — Bloomfield Township police are searching for multiple suspects after a pair of robberies at the same Dick’s Sporting Goods store in a matter of days.
Around 9 a.m. last Tuesday, April 23, a woman walked into the Dick’s store on Telegraph Road and went to the Nike area. She allegedly grabbed eight hats totaling $212 and left the store, “disregarding all checkouts without paying for the merchandise.”
Bloomfield Twp. police officials say the woman fled the scene in a dark gray Chevy Malibu. The suspect was described only as a Black woman — no other description was released.
A few days later, officials say three Black women, believed to be in their 20s, entered the same store around 8 p.m. About 15 minutes later two of the women left the store with multiple Bogg bags— valued at nearly $400 — without paying.
The third woman stood lookout at the checkout counters, officials said.
Officials have not said whether the alleged thefts are connected in any way.
Anyone who knows something about the thefts is asked to call the Bloomfield Township Police at 248-433-7755.
