(WWJ) At least one person has been seriously injured in a rollover crash involving an semi truck hauling asphalt, and two other vehicles in northern Oakland County.
The wreck happened earlier Friday morning, along Dixie Highway near I-75 in Independence Township.
It's unclear at this time what led to the crash.
Late in the morning, Dixie Highway remained closed at I-75 while emergency crews continued to work to clear the scene and investigate.
There is no information at this time about the injured victim, but an official with the North Oakland County Fire Authority told WWJ Newsradio 950 that a medical helicopter was requested, which indicates someone was airlifted to a hospital for critical care.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
