DETROIT (WWJ) -- Over 1.2 million Dodge Ram trucks are being recalled after seat belts were improperly installed.
The recall covers certain Ram 1500 pickups from the 2019 through the 2026 model years.
Stellantis says some of these vehicles may have been built without seat belt buckle anchors properly attached in the back seats, which can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Stellantis will send out letters to owners of all affected vehicles.
Owners can contact their dealer to schedule an inspection of the seat belt system and, if necessary, properly attach the buckle anchor for free.
