Domestic dispute leads to deadly shooting at Dearborn home: police

DEARBORN (WWJ) A domestic dispute led to a deadly shooting at a Dearborn home, police said.

Dearborn Police said officers, along with the Dearborn Fire Department, responded to a call on Walnut (1700 block) in the area of Southfield and Outer Drive on Friday, July 11, around 11 p.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed a “domestic disturbance” in the home led to the suspect shooting and killing a family member, according to police.

Officers arrested the suspect at the scene, who remains in custody pending a review of charges by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.

No further details were released about the suspect or the victim. According to police, their identities will be withheld until the investigation is complete.
