DETROIT (WWJ) – The search is on for a man wanted in connection to a home invasion and sexual assault on Detroit’s west side over the weekend.
Detroit police officials say it happened around 9 p.m. Sunday when the man broke into a home on Memorial Street, near the Southfield Freeway and Plymouth Road.
The suspect also allegedly sexually assaulted an 80 -year-old woman.
Authorities have not released any other details about the incident. The woman’s condition was not disclosed.
Police describe the suspect as a Black man in his 20s, approximately 5-foot-8. with a slim build and medium complexion.
Officials are asking anyone who knows something about the case to call the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-1950.
