DETROIT (WWJ) – The search is on for a man who allegedly stole cash and tools from an oil change business on Detroit's northwest side last weekend.
It happened around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25 on Telegraph Road, just north of Grand River Avenue, according to Detroit police.
Officials say the suspect used some type of wooden object to smash through the bay door of the Valvoline Express Care.
Once inside, the man allegedly stole various tools and an undisclosed amount of cash before walking away from the business headed south on Telegraph, police officials said.
Surveillance photos from inside the garage show the suspect wearing a blue jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.
He was also seen putting items into what appears to be a large red bag that says "royal."
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or knows something about the burglary is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's 8th Precinct at 313-596-5840 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
