Police say they are looking into the disappearance of a Detroit woman who disappeared in July and need help from the public to locate her.

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are asking for assistance from the public as they investigate the disappearance of a Detroit woman who went missing in July on the city's northwest side.

According to the Detroit Police Department, Tiara Thomas, 25, was last seen leaving her home round 3 p.m in the 16800 block of Forrer, between McNichols and Grove, on Tuesday, July 12.

Police said Tiara suffers from an undisclosed mental illness and as not been seen or heard from in over two months.

Tiara is described as a Black female around 5' 3" tall and weighing an estimated 235 lbs. She has brown eyes and black hair. Police said she has no known identifying marks, scars or tattoos.

She was last seen wearing a a white shirt, gray stretch pants and white gym shoes.
