DETROIT (WWJ) — Detroit police officials are asking for tips from the public tracking down a group of suspects who burglarized a home on Detroit’s east side last month.

It happened around 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at a home on Hoover, a few blocks north of McNichols, according to the Detroit Police Department.

The suspects broke into the home through a back door and stole three TVs and an XBOX, according to DPD. They then fled the scene in a black or gray Hyundai SUV.

No one was home at the time of the burglary.

DPD on Monday released a photo and video of the suspect’s SUV backing into a snow-covered driveway prior to the burglary.

Anyone who recognizes the SUV or knows something about the burglary is being asked to call DPD’s 9th Precinct at 313-596-5940.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or online at DetroitRewards.tv.

Detroit Rewards TV is offering a cash reward of $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest in the case.
