GRAND BLANC TWP (WWJ) -- A weekend traffic stop in Genesee County led to the arrest of a drunk driver who had a loaded gun in the car -- along with his 1-year-old child.
When Grand Blanc Township Police pulled a man over last weekend, they made a number of concerning discoveries.
First, the man was intoxicated. He also had a loaded, unregistered handgun in his vehicle.
What shocked officers most, though, was that the driver's one-year-old son was riding in the front of the car and was not secured in a child seat of any kind.
Police took the man into custody, where he was charged with child endagerment and driving while intoxicated.
"Traffic enforcement is always one of our top priorities," the Grand Blanc Twp Police Department said on its Facebook page. "Traffic enforcement saves lives!"
