Dearborn Heights (WWJ)—Police found an elderly woman dead in her home and launched a murder investigation.
Police say they received a 911 call from a home near Pardee and Van Born early Tuesday morning, where they found the victim.
"A suspect was quickly taken into custody and a death investigation is underway," a statement on Dearborn Heights Police Facebook page read.
They say there is "no reason to believe there is a further threat to the community."
No further information has been released about the suspect's relationship to the victim, if any.
Detectives are expected to take their case to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office later this week.
