DETROIT (WWJ) -- Guess who’s back?

Detroit’s own Eminem has returned with a new single and music video, and he’s throwing it back to his “Slim Shady” era.

“Houdini” marks the first song off of the rapper’s forming album “The Death of Slim Shady,” and it comes with a music video chock-full of nostalgia for fans, and celebrity cameos from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Pete Davidson, among others.

The video features a contemporary Eminem rapping alongside his Slim Shady alter-ego, which shot him to fame in the early 2000s.

“Houdini” samples both the Steve Miller Band’s 1982 song “Abracadabra,” as well as Eminem’s own “Without Me.”

The video also makes reference to Eminem’s “Go Crazy” and “The Real Slim Shady” music videos, and has plenty of other Easter eggs for fans to enjoy.

The rapper announced his twelfth studio album back in April in a commercial that aired during the NFL Draft in Detroit.

“The Death of Slim Shady” is set for release later this summer, marking Eminem’s first new record since 2020.
