(WWJ) Eminem's ex-wife, Kim Mathers, has been ordered to wear an alcohol monitor as she's slapped with new charges in another drunken driving case.

Just two days after pleading no contest in a recent impaired driving case, Mathers — also known as Kim Scott — was arrested again this month after a vehicle crash, leading to a new felony drunk driving charge.

Mathers’ latest arrest stems from an incident on Wednesday, May 13 — less than 48 hours after her May 11 court appearance for a previous driving offense.

According to Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, Mathers was drunk while driving a 2026 Kia in Chesterfield Township when she struck a parked Jeep Cherokee.

Mathers, 51, was arraigned Thursday, May 28, in New Baltimore’s 42-2 District Court.

Because of her prior record, the the MCPO has charged Mathers with Operating While Intoxicated – 3rd Offense Notice. The charge is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and carries a mandatory vehicle immobilization if the vehicle is not forfeited.

The back-to-back incidents prompted prosecutors to file an Emergency Bond Motion immediately following the May 13 crash, arguing that immediate court intervention was necessary to protect the public.

At Thursday's hearing, Judge William H. Hackel arraigned Mathers on a bond violation stemming from the overlap of the two cases.

Mathers pled not guilty to the violation, and a separate bond hearing will be scheduled by the court, officials siad,

The judge released Mathers on a $5,000 personal bond for the new felony charge but imposed stringent, immediate restrictions:

  • Alcohol & Drug Ban: Mathers is strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol or drugs.
  • Continuous Monitoring: She must be equipped with a SoberLink alcohol monitoring device by the end of the day and test four times daily.
  • Psychiatric Evaluation: A psychiatrist’s evaluation must be submitted to the court within seven days to determine whether Mathers requires intensive outpatient or inpatient treatment for alcohol abuse.

Mathers is scheduled to return to court for a Probable Cause Conference on June 24. Her sentencing for the initial May 11 impaired driving charge has been postponed indefinitely pending the outcome of the new hearings.

“The defendant is charged with Operating While Intoxicated Third Offense, demonstrating a blatant disregard for the law and the safety of the community. Driving while under the influence is extremely dangerous conduct that places innocent lives at risk. This type of repeated behavior cannot and will not be tolerated, and our office will continue to pursue accountability for those who endanger the public in this manner,” said Prosecutor Pete Lucido.

Mathers is best known as the former wife of Detroit-native rap legend Marshall Mathers (Eminem), who spoke about her in several of his hit tracks, including "Kim" and "'97 Bonnie & Clyde," and "Bad Husband."

According to TMZ, Kim and Eminem were married in 1999, divorced in 2001, and then briefly remarried again in 2006.

She now lives in Chesterfield Township.
