DETROIT (WWJ) -- It's not quite "The Eminem Show"...but it's close!

Eminem is making his return to acting with a portrayal of Richard Wershe Jr. -- better known as “White Boy Rick” -- in the upcoming Starz drama series "BMF."

The announcement was made Tuesday morning on Twitter by the project’s producer, 50 Cent, who said he couldn’t very well do a show based in Detroit and not include his longtime friend.

“BMF" chronicles the real-life story of two brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who formed a criminal empire in Detroit called the Black Mafia Family in the 1980s.

Eminem will play Wershe in one episode involving the former FBI informant, who was released from prison after a 32 year-stint behind bars in July of 2020.

“BMF” is set to premiere Sunday, September 26 on Starz.
