WARREN (WWJ) Warren Police are searching for a man who was on his way to a psychiatric facility when he escaped—they say he's considered "armed and dangerous."
Christian Snow, 22, was last seen wearing a hospital gown. He's accused of showing up at churches with machetes, stalking women and threatening to rape or torture them.
FOX 2 reports authorities arrested him on Thursday with the intent to take him to the Behavioral Center of Michigan in Warren. While en route, he got away.
A person close to the investigation told FOX 2 that he's a "religious fanatic" who has an "obsession with women" and has gone to at least three different churches with machetes.
Someone who knows him also told the TV station they worry he will hurt his family.
This isn't the first time he has escaped. In winter of 2019, he leapt out of a moving transport van on I-75 near I-96 while on his way to the same psychiatric facility. He was found outside a church the following day.
