Farmington Hills Kroger goes from common parking lot to rave party due to haywire lights [VIDEO]

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - It might look like a standard parking lot during the daytime, but come nightfall, this parking lot outside a Farmington Hills Kroger is turning heads.

Malfunctioning lights in the parking lot located at on 11 Mile and Middlebelt Roads has been going haywire since at least Saturday (Oct. 21) night, creating a "strobe" effect that has caught the attention of residents and drivers.

While some may enjoy the unintentional light show, it could be an issue for motorists as well as pose a safety risk for late-night shoppers.

Cam Barrett, Corporate Affairs Manager for Kroger, told WWJ's Kyle Kimball that they are aware of the glitch and are working with property management to get the lights fixed.

Barrett estimated work will be finished by the end of the week and the rapid-flashing, accidental rave party will once again be a regular-old parking lot.
