BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) -- A woman is in custody after police say she robbed a bank in Oakland County's Bloomfield Township on Thursday.
According to Bloomfield Township Police, they got a call about the crime at around 12:15 p.m., just after the suspect fled the Comerica Bank branch, in the 4300 block of Woodward Ave. near Winthrop Rd.
Bank employees told police that a female suspect walked into the bank and passed a note to a teller stating that she was robbing the bank — demanding money "with no dye."
Police said the teller handed over a sum of cash, and the suspect left the bank on foot.
The BTPD immediately responded to the area, located the suspect, and arrested her without incident.
Police said the money the woman stole from the bank was recovered.
The FBI also responded to the scene, and will assist with the investigation.
The suspect remains behind bars as she awaits pending charges, police said. Her name will not be released until after her arraignment.
