Ferndale officers arrest suspect after barricaded standoff stemming from domestic violence incident: police

FERNDALE (WWJ) A suspect in a barricaded standoff in Ferndale, stemming from a domestic violence incident, is in custody; police said.

Ferndale Police said they were called to a domestic violence incident at Pilgrim and Orchard—in the area of I-75 and 9 Mile—on Sunday, December 29th around 7:00 a.m.

When officers arrived, the suspect refused to leave the home; police said.

About an hour later, officers took the suspect into custody.

The incident is under investigation. Police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
