(WWJ) – Crews are responding to a fire near the border of Westland and Livonia Tuesday afternoon.
Westland fire officials tell WWJ the fire is on August and Ann Arbor Trail, near Joy and Middlebelt. It was not immediately clear whether it was a house fire or contained to a garage.
Crowds of people had gathered near the scene as smoke poured into the neighborhood.
Video from the scene shows multiple Livonia police and fire trucks at the scene.
It was not clear whether anyone was inside at the time of the fire or if anyone had been injured. Officials have not determined what started the fire.
