WEST BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) - A fire in West Bloomfield Township Monday afternoon has left residents of 12 apartments without homes.
A resident at Bloomfield on the Green, located on Woodrow Wilson Boulevard south of Orchard Lake Road, noticed smoke coming from another unit around 5 p.m. March 17.
Staff from the apartments came to investigate after being notified by the resident. They called 911, and units from all six West Bloomfield fire stations arrived to help combat the blaze.
The fire was quickly put out and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Management is working with displaced residents to find temporary housing.
