Releasing a photo of the firearm recovered, along with some ammunition and related items, police said the warrant was secured following officers' response to an armed robbery to a home in the 12700 block of Kilbourne, east of Gratiot near Outer Dr. East.

"Great work by all involved to keep our community safe," the DPD wrote on social media on Friday.
