(WWJ) There's a new recall involving more than 355,000 Ford pickup trucks.
Documents from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show the problem is with an instrument panel error that can result in vital information failing to display.
The failure could create a blank screen and block out speed, warning lights and other information.
Experts said the problem could lead to more crashes.
"No crashes have been reported," said WWJ Auto Beat Reporter Jeff Gilbert, "but there have ben a least 95 warranty claims."
The recall involves certain 2025 and 2026 Ford F-150 pickups along with several other new F-series trucks, both light and heavy-duty.
Gilbert said the fix involves a software update, either over the air or at a dealerships.
Notifications about the problem are expected to be sent to owner's of the effected vehicles beginning next week.
