DEARBORN (WWJ) -- Ford is recalling one of their latest electric products.
The auto company has issued a global recall on about 39,000 of its Mustang Mach E’s because glass windshields or panoramic roof glass may not have been properly attached.
This could cause leaks, cracks, or in the worst case scenario -- the glass falling out.
Customers with defective windshields or roof glass may notice water leaks, an increase in wind noise while driving, or both.
Ford discovered the problem after inspecting a cracked windshield, but there have been no reports of accidents or injuries so far.
The vehicles being recalled were all built between Feb. 24, 2020, and July 18, 2021.
Customers should take their Mustang Mach E to their local dealership, where they will reinstall any improperly attached glass.
