DETROIT (WWJ) Three men and one woman were charged with the fatal shooting of two males in their teens and injuring five other teenagers at a block party on Detroit's west side.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Johnny Lee Marsh III, 25; Eladeo Garcia, 22; Alfonso Anaya, 18; all of Detroit, and Amber McIntee, 21, of Lincoln Park.

A 15-year-old Detroit boy and Gage Schmaltz, 19 of Southgate, died in the shooting. Two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old man, all from Pontiac; and an 18-year-old Detroit woman were also hurt.

Prosecutors said Detroit Police were dispatched on Sunday, November 3rd at 1:34 a.m., to a block party/large gathering on Devereaux Street—in the area of Livernois and I-94.

According to prosecutors, officers saw the defendants firing multiple gunshots from a vehicle into a crowd of people—before driving away. Police pursued the car to the intersection of Gilbert and Deveraux Street, where the defendants allegedly got out and ran away from the scene. Officers arrested Garcia and Marsh after running after them.

Police took Anaya and McIntee into custody that following Wednesday. According to prosecutors, McIntee did not tell the truth to the investigating officers.

Further investigation revealed a verbal argument had escalated—and the defendants fired handguns into the crowd, prosecutors said. The gunfire struck both the 15-year-old boy and Schmaltz in their heads. Bullets also hit the 16-year-old and one of the 17-year-olds in the face, the other 17-year-old in the chest and arm, the 18-year-old woman in the right leg and the 18-year-old man in the face, chest and back.

Marsh and Garcia were charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder, four counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, two counts of Discharge from a Motor Vehicle Causing Death, five counts of Discharge from a Motor Vehicle Causing Injury, one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, 14 counts of Felony Firearm, and one count of Resting and Obstructing a Police Officer.

Anaya was charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder, four counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, two counts of Discharge from a Motor Vehicle Causing Death, five counts of Discharge from a Motor Vehicle Causing Injury, one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, 14 counts of Felony Firearm, one count of Resting and Obstructing a Police Officer, and one count of Third-Degree Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer.

McIntee was charged with Tampering with Evidence and Lying to a Peace Officer During a Violent Crime Investigation.

They were arraigned on Saturday in 36th District Court. Marsh, Garcia and Anaya were all remanded to jail. McIntee was given a $75,000 personal bond. They are due back in court for a Probable Cause Hearing on November 19th.
