Police investigating road rage shooting on M-14 in Plymouth Township

PLYMOUTH TWP (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police are investigating another freeway shooting in metro Detroit.

MSP responded to a 911 call around 7:30 a.m. on Friday that reported shots being fired along eastbound M-14 near northbound I-275 in Plymouth Township.

The caller and the suspect were reportedly involved in a road rage incident, during which the suspect fired one round into the bottom of the driver's side door.

Troopers shut down M-14 while they searched for evidence, and were able to recover the round from the door of the victim's car.

The suspect, who was driving a brown passenger vehicle, continued eastbound while the victim stopped immediately.

No injuries were reported in the incident and the freeway has now reopened.
