(WWJ) If you're in need of a new couch, take note: An expansion is coming for the biggest furniture company in the state.
Gardner White on Monday announced they will be opening nine new stores in Michigan and Ohio, staring this spring.
New store locations include Chesterfield, Clinton Township, and Flint.
All nine of these stores were previously owned by Value City, which closed its doors back in December.
“For more than a century, Gardner White has grown alongside the communities we serve,” said Rachel Stewart, CEO of Gardner White, in a news release. “These new store locations allow us to reach more families and bring our style, value, award-winning service, and signature same-day delivery to even more homes. This expansion reflects our belief in our state and region’s long-term economic strength.”
There are now 30 Gardner White locations in Michigan, and with this expansion they enter Western and northern Michigan communities, including in Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Traverse City.
The company will now have two locations in Novi, while the already established store will become the future home of their new outlet concept.
No further details have been released about what to expect from the outlet just yet. The company said individual grand opening announcements are forthcoming.
