
DETROIT (WWJ) - A triple shooting on the city’s west side has killed one person and injured two others on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
According to Detroit police, the fatal shooting occurred in the area of Rutherford and Curtis Streets. Authorities were notified after a call of shots fired was received just after 7 p.m.
Investigators along with homicide detectives were at the scene Tuesday night collecting evidence. It wasn't immediately clear what led to the shooting.
The victims' ages and identities were not released. Further information about the case is expected to be released at a later time.
It was the first of two reported shootings that caused a fatality overnight in the city. Detroit police later responded to a a report of man who had been shot to death on the city's Southwest side in the early morning hours on Wednesday.
No information regarding that case was provided by police.
