DETROIT (WWJ) -- A freeway shooting on Sunday night on I-96 was believed to be random by the victim.
The situation happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. in the express lanes of I-96 near Greenfield Road in Detroit.
The driver told police that he was driving in the center lane when a silver vehicle pulled up on his right and a gunman fired one shot.
The shell casing was recovered from the vehicle, and there were no injuries reported in the shooting.
According to police, the victim said he could think of no reason why someone would want to try to kill him.
The situation remains under investigation.
