MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) -- State officials are looking into a Halloween Eve stunt that left a harsh message on a digital road sign in Macomb County.
Reports say drivers on Groesbeck Highway were greeted with the phrase "F*** Joe" -- seemingly in reference to President Joe Biden.
The hacked sign could be spotted from the southbound lanes of Groesbeck between Hall Road (M-59) and Elizabeth Road in Mount Clemens.
MDOT was notified and removed the message on the afternoon of Oct. 30.
That particular road sign usually has messages alerting drivers to road construction on Hall Road.
Officials are continuing to investigate how someone managed to change the sign in the first place.
