FLINT (WWJ) -- State troopers arrested two men and confiscated several firearms during a routine traffic stop Friday evening.

Around 6 p.m. on Feb. 3, Michigan State Police stopped a car with an expired registration near Mason and Taylor St., west of Martin Luther King Ave in Flint.


As officers approached the vehicle, they saw the driver and two passengers acting somewhat erratic and observed a number of firearms in plain view.

Further investigation revealed that only one of the three occupants had a valid concealed permit license (CPL).

The 20-year-old man behind the wheel was in possession of a Draco-style pistol.

A 22-year-old man sitting in the backseat of the car had two handguns and an AR-style pistol. He was also on probation.

Both men were arrested and are in custody at the Flint City Jail and Genesee County Jail. The third passenger had a valid CPL and was released.

All four weapons were seized by law enforcement.
