WARREN (WWJ) -- A Harrison Township woman is facing felony charges after it's alleged she bit a police officer after she was involved in a deadly crash.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has charged 27-year-old Diamond Leann Glenn with Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer following the crash last Saturday morning, on Mound Rd. near Chicago Rd. in Warren.

Police said Glenn was allegedly drunk behind the wheel of a Ford Escape a when she crashed into a Chevy Silverado pickup truck.

When a responding officer approached Glenn on the sideway to see if she was injured, it's alleged that Glenn bit the officer and resisted arrest. She was ultimately handcuffed and taken to a local hospital for treatment, prosecutors said.

The driver of the pickup, identified as 69-year-old Christopher Andelean, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Glenn was arraigned in 37th Warren District Court where bond was set at $100,000 cash only. If she is released on bond, Glenn was ordered to wear an alcohol tether.

Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido said there could yet be more charges coming in this case.

"This charge reflects the actions by the defendant towards officers after the car crash. Our office is committed to a thorough review of all evidence, and additional charges may be authorized after the Warren Police Department finishes their investigation," said Lucido, in a statement.

A probable cause hearing for Glenn is scheduled for Jan. 2, followed by a preliminary exam set for Jan. 9.
