HAZEL PARK (WWJ) A Hazel Park man was arrested and charged with multiple counts of child sexually abusive activity.
The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Task Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) announced the arrest of Russell Wright.
According to MSP, troopers arrested the 51-year-old after an investigation involving local, state and federal law enforcement revealed Wright “may have participated in, directed and funded the sexual assault of children.”
Authorities seized digital evidence during a search of his home.
Homeland Security Investigations, Northville Township Police, and the Michigan ICAC Task Force all participated in the investigation.
A 43rd District Court judge arraigned Wright on charges of six counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity on Friday, August 14.
