
HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ) - A police officer is recovering in Highland Park after their patrol car was struck by another driver on Tuesday evening.
As reported by WDIV, the officer was out on a call when their cruiser was T-boned by a driver behind the wheel of a Chevy vehicle in the area of Woodward Ave. and Sears Street the night of Jan. 31.
The officer was taken to a local hospital as a precaution while the driver of the Chevy refused medical attention. The condition of the officer is unknown.
It is unclear how the collision occurred and other details surrounding the incident were not released by authorities.
