Hikers discover body along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Upper Peninsula

MUNISING (WWJ) Hikers discovered a body along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula.

Michigan State Police (MSP) said troopers responded to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, near Miners Beach, after hikers found the body at the water’s edge of Lake Superior on Friday, November 8th. The hikers called 911.

Police were not able to identify the body to this point. They are still working to do so.

Foul play is not suspected, police said.

No further information was given.
