DETROIT (WWJ) - Hockey and music are synonymous with Detroit and fans attending last weekend's Professional Women's Hockey League game at Little Caesar's Area are going viral for their rendition of one of Taylor Swift's hit songs.

The Detroit Red Wings' home ice hosted a game as part of the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s Takeover Weekend on March 16, with Ottawa and Boston playing in front of the largest crowd to ever watch a professional women’s hockey game in the United States.

And during a break in play with roughly five minutes left in the second period, 13,736 hockey fans heard Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" blaring out in the arena.

Tik Tok user michigankid91 -- whose profile lists his name as Matthew -- managed to capture fans featured on the Jumbotron who jumped out of their seats and began dancing and singing along to the song as lyrics played on the screen.

"I don't think we need the lyrics," someone off-camera can be heard saying on the recording.

The song cuts off in the area as play resumed, the crowd kept singing and completed the chorus.

"Sometimes you just have to understand that you are in the middle of a very special moment in sports," Matthew posted in a caption to the video.

So far, 744,600 TikTok users agreed with a thumbs up on the video and it being shared over 64,000 times as of Saturday afternoon.

And the number continues to grow.

ESPN was the top commenter, asking the poster permission to use the video.

Another user wrote: "All those teeny tiny little girl voices…🥹 Anyone or anything that makes them sing out in unison like that is exactly what the world needs right now."

"As a mom of two girls and LOVES hockey. I’m not crying you are," another posted.

"She doesn’t even have to be there to make an arena sing together💖," a user wrote of Swift.
