(WWJ) A homeowner managed to escape a massive fire inside his or her home in Grosse Pointe Woods.
Fire officials told WWJ the flames broke out Sunday at a house on Peach Tree Lane near Cook Road, not far from the shores of Lake St. Clair. As of noon, the four-alarm fire was still burning, and crews remained on scene.
WXYZ-Channel 7 reporter Syma Chowdry reported the smoke could be seen from "at least half a mile away."
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
