A Toledo man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man at the Econo Lodge hotel in Monroe Township.
Mark Shane Holmes, 46, was arraigned Sunday on the charge, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.
Following a call about a disturbance at the hotel early Saturday morning, deputies found Cazz Vinson, 46, unconscious in a room at the hotel, off I-75 and LaPlaisance Road.
Rescue personnel from the Monroe Township Fire Department and Monroe Community Ambulance responded and attempted life-saving measures, however, Vinson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Holmes and a second person were taken to the Sheriff's Department for questioning. While Holmes was arrested, the other person was released.
No cause of death was released.
Holmes is being held on $500,000 bond, according to the Sheriff's Department.
