(WWJ) – How often do you think about the way you talk? If you’re anything like Michigan-based content creator Ryan Redoute, the answer is probably something along the lines of “not often.”
At least that was his answer until he started making videos on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram about the Michigan accent.
Now Redoute’s videos about that Michigan accent and his love for the Great Lakes state have received millions of views, having become known as “That Michigan Guy” on TikTok..
On a new Sunday Conversation WWJ’s Zach Clark chats with Redoute about his rise to fame and what lies ahead.
Redoute says he began researching the Michigan accent after receiving multiple questions about his voice while traveling. And to this day, his first YouTube video on the subject remains his most-watched piece.
But why are people so curious about the Michigan accent? Redoute shared his thoughts in his conversation with Clark.
