HURON TWP. (WWJ) -- Huron Township Police are searching for a suspect following a hit-and-run that sent a pedestrian to the hospital Monday morning.

According to the Huron Township Department of Public Safety, what's believed to be a Chevy Express or GMC Savanna van hit the victim around 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 14, in the area of Pennsylvania Road, between Huron River Drive and Wayne Road.
The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police said the suspect vehicle, which likely has front-end passenger-side damage, then fled eastbound on Pennsylvania. The Downriver Crash Team is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect vehicle, or who may have other helpful information, is asked to call police at 734-753-4400.
