A Farmington Hills man has died in a crash along I-96 in Novi after Michigan State Police say the 67-year old's car went off the road and hit a guardrail near Beck Road just after 4 a.m. Monday. He was heading eastbound in a Mercury Grand Marquis when the crash happened.
An investigation is underway.
The eastbound lanes of I-96 are closed at Beck Road with backups to Wixom Road. Drivers in the backup can use Grand River.
Police say the man's next of kin have been notified of his death.
