Ramadan is a traditionally Muslim holiday. But here in Metro Detroit, the month of reflection goes beyond those who follow Islam

(WWJ) – When it comes to global Muslim populations, the Metro Detroit area stands out. And that’s true beyond the city of Dearborn.

Wednesday marks the start of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community, with many Metro Detroiters of all faiths celebrating every weekend at the Ramadan Suhoor Festival in Dearborn.

WWJ’s Zach Clark learns on a new Daily J podcast, many of the principles of Ramadan can be applied to everybody, regardless of faith.
