President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be inaugurated on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
Inauguration Day 2021 will consist of a daytime event and a primetime evening special, both including musical performances and special guests.
On late Wednesday morning, Biden and Harris will be sworn in to their new roles.

Biden will arrive to the U.S. Capitol around 11 a.m. ET, after which the morning program will commence. It will include an invocation from Father Leo J. O’Donovan, the Pledge of Allegiance by Andrea Hall, the National Anthem by Lady Gaga, a poetry reading by Amanda Gorman, and a musical performance by Jennifer Lopez.
Around 12 p.m., Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president. It will also be a historic day as Harris, the former California senator, is sworn in as the first African American and South Asian American female vice president.
Beginning at 8:30pm ET, a special titled "Celebrating America," hosted by Tom Hanks, will air, featuring performances by Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, and John Legend. The evening program will include remarks from Biden and Harris.
