
DETROIT (WWJ) – An Inkster man is facing charges of terrorism after allegedly making threats against the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in Detroit.
Courtney Seegars is accused of threatening to shoot multiple people at the downtown government building.
The 35-year-old Seegars has been charged with one count of false report of terrorism and one count of malicious use of a telecommunications device.
Seegars allegedly called a court clerk at the CAYMC around 10:45 a.m. on Monday and threatened to shoot and kill multiple people at the building.
Authorities did not say what prompted the alleged threats or whether Seegars named anyone specifically.
Seegars was arrested on Thursday after an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
He was arraigned Thursday morning in 36th District Court and given a $10,000 personal bond. He is scheduled for a probable cause conference on May 26.
