DETROIT (WWJ) – As 36-year-old Jamere Miller, Sr. was arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Detroit nurse Patrice Wilson over the weekend, new questions are arising in the case of a missing person from more than a decade ago.

Bianca Green was last seen at her Romulus apartment complex in late March of 2011. Green and Miller had a son together, Jamere Jr., and she was in the early stages of a second pregnancy, according to a report from WDIV.

During a Crime Stoppers press conference the following year Miller, holding his son, said “it’s hard being a single father and it’s hard for me to even tell him what’s going on with her.”

Green was in school to become a nurse at the time she went missing. More than a decade later, the mystery of her disappearance remains unsolved.

Miller surrendered to police Sunday afternoon after “feeling the pressure” of multiple warrants for his arrest in connection with the abduction and murder of Wilson, Detroit Police Chief James White said during a Monday press conference.

Police officials allege Miller held Wilson, 29, at gunpoint and forced her into her own car as she left her shift at Detroit Receiving Hospital early Saturday morning. Her body was found in the trunk of an SUV on Sunday and Miller turned himself in later in the day, officials said.

Now that he’s in custody in connection with Wilson’s death, Green’s family “is questioning everything,” according to a report from Fox 2.

Her uncle, Keith Green, said the news of his recent arrest was “a lot to stomach,” according to the report.

"We all never gave up hope and we tried to give Jamere the benefit of the doubt," Keith said, noting his niece “would have never left Jamere Jr.,” according the report

Green’s family “always suspected foul play” in her disappearance, according to Fox 2. He was reportedly questioned, but never charged in the case.

White said during Monday’s press conference that Miller has an extensive criminal history, including domestic violence, weapons and drug offenses and more.

Detroit detectives are in contact with Romulus police and will be “working together to see if there’s any correlation or if there’s anything we can help them with,” White said Monday.
