(WWJ) – First Lady Jill Biden will not visit Michigan on Monday, as her planned trip was postponed due to travel issues.

Dr. Biden’s press secretary says her flight to Michigan was diverted back to Denver, Colorado, due to an aircraft issue.

The visit has been postponed, but the rescheduled date has not yet been announced.

Officials have not released any more details about the issue that caused the flight to be diverted. Her press secretary says everyone is safe and they are back on the ground in Denver.

The First Lady was scheduled to visit Delta College in Saginaw to talk about workforce training programs.

It was to be the second time Dr. Biden had visited Michigan during the current administration. Her previous visit was in July of last year to talk about the American Rescue Plan.
